The Pickerington Violet Festival committee is very excited to bring you our 12th annual event! Each year has seen more and more growth in attendance and entertainment line-ups that have 'rocked the house.' We promise you more of the same this year.
This family fun event attracts over 40,000 people to the area. Many, of course, are residents of Pickerington and neighbors throughout Violet Township. But, a large portion of that number was made up of visitors from elsewhere around the state and country who experienced the charm and hospitality of our community.
Once again, the Pickerington Violet Festival will offer live entertainment, carnival rides and games, a variety of food vendors, the beer garden, arts and crafts fair, a parade, a car and bike show, a 5K run, the business vendor tent and much more….

When the state of Ohio created a new township in Fairfield County during 1808, local settlers chose the logical name "Violet" because of the variety and abundance of soft purple flowers growing wild in the area. After the Ohio Legislature designated Pickerington as the “Violet Capital of Ohio” in 1996, the "Violet Festival" was created to celebrate Pickerington-Violet Township's heritage and uniqueness.
